Birthdays are for sharing

Written by Lisa Schuster Lyons

I celebrated my 36th birthday this year and I have to say that the very best part of it, hands down, was the birthday breakfast forage I brought in for the chimpanzees to enjoy. I bought fresh fruits and vegetables for Tatu and Loulis including pineapple, pears, coconuts, organic bananas, spring onions, cucumbers and yams. We set up the East playroom with fresh fruit, smoothie cups, and fruit seltzer water drinks along with the rest of the party enrichment. Although we forgot to include the sign, Tatu helped out with that! Birthdays are sweeter when you can share them with your friends and family and I’m so grateful that I was able to do so.
